About This Gig

Hi there!

Children's books are one of my biggest passions. I am a former teacher and have a master's degree as a literacy specialist, and I have read thousands of picture books to students over the years. By doing so, I have a firm understanding of what makes a picture book successful and what children enjoy reading and listening to. Writing a children's book is a huge accomplishment and I can't wait to help you with your next steps!

This gig will include:

-Polishing your text and reviewing the plot and structure of your story

-Giving you feedback on ways your text could be clarified or improved

-Proofreading the text for any grammatical errors

-Helping with pace, syntax, and rhyme (if applicable)

-Communicating with you throughout the process

Microsoft Word documents are the preferred format, as they are the easiest for me to use to track any changes I need to make, but if your story is in another format we can make it work!
